Consultation
Once a proposal has been accepted we will then agree on a schedule for the work to be performed. Products specifications and colors will be designated; a color plan will be compiled. We will also go over all details included in the proposal/estimate.
Preparation
Before any work is performed in your home, furnishings in need of relocating will be either moved to the room's center or to another room. Light fixtures, electrical face plates, and other hardware are removed as needed. Floors are carefully taped off and covered with 1.5 mil plastic sheeting. Cabinets and consolidated furnishings are covered with 0.4 mil plastic sheeting. If excessive dust/debris is expected, open doorways are also covered with plastic sheeting. Surfaces to be painted are sanded and dusted. Failing or missing caulk is replaced. Nail holes in woodwork are filled.
Repairs
Walls and ceilings are inspected for nail "pops", cracks, and failing drywall tape. Woodwork is inspected for rot, cracks, and nail heads not properly set. Repairs are made as needed.
Painting
Only the best products from Sherwin Williams, Porter, and Benjamin Moore are used. All proposals include painting "to coverage". Meaning that if one coat doesn't cover sufficiently, an additional coat will be applied. A third coat may be required under certain conditions such as shades of red, bright yellows, and several dark colors. The application process may involve brushing, rolling, or spraying. Clean lines and complete, uniform coverage is the goal here.
Cleanup
All equipment and tools are removed from the home. Plastic sheeting and tape is carefully removed. Windows are cleaned as needed, floors are swept, and carpets are vacuumed. Light fixtures, electrical face plates, and furnishings are returned to their original state.
Inspection
A walkthrough with an onsite supervisor will be completed with the homeowner. Any questions or concerns are addressed at this time. Once the work has been deemed beyond satisfactory, the job is complete.
