Consultation Once a proposal has been accepted we will then agree on a schedule for the work to be performed. Products specifications and colors will be designated; a color plan will be compiled. We will also go over all details included in the proposal/estimate.

Pressure Washing

At a minimum of 24 hours before work is scheduled to begin, the home is to be pressure washed. A mild solution of 5% chlorine bleach, detergent, and water is applied to the house's exterior. This mild solution is not harmful to surrounding shrubs and foliage. Once mildew has been eliminated and dirt is loosened from the house it is rinsed off by medium pressure. The house is now ready for prep work to begin when dry.

Preparation

Shrubs, foliage, concrete, and decking are covered with drop clothes. Light fixtures, furnishings, and other hardware are removed and relocated as needed. Loose paint is scraped and sanded smooth. Bare wood to be painted is primed. Failing or missing caulk is replaced. PVC casement windows and frames are taped off and covered with 0.31 mil plastic sheeting. Protruding nails in siding are set.

Repairs

Wood work and siding is inspected for rot and other damage. Repairs are made as needed.

Painting

Only the best products from Sherwin Williams, Porter, and Benjamin Moore are used. All proposals include painting "to coverage". Meaning that if one coat doesn't cover sufficiently, an additional coat will be applied. A third coat may be required under certain conditions such as shades of red, bright yellows, and several dark colors. The application process may involve brushing, rolling, or spraying. Clean lines and complete, uniform coverage is the goal here.

Cleanup

Plastic sheeting and tape is carefully removed. Windows are cleaned as needed and floors/decking are swept. Debris is bagged and removed. Light fixtures and furnishings are returned to their original state.

Inspection

A walkthrough with an onsite supervisor will be completed with the homeowner. Any questions or concerns are addressed at this time. Once the work has been deemed beyond satisfactory, the job is complete.
